It really depends on how you care for your nails in between your manicure sessions. For example, if you keep your hands properly moisturised at all times and are careful not to chip your varnish or nail polish, once a month is probably all you need.
If however, your hands are frequently exposed to the elements, your cuticles will grow dry and jagged much faster, in which case, fortnightly manicure sessions are recommended.
Many of our clients fall in the middle ground and choose to do their manicure once every three weeks.
As for pedicure, we recommend doing them once a month
Manicure and pedicure treatments at our nail salon are surprisingly relaxing, especially the when it involves hand and feet soaking. Customers have told us that they can feel their tension easing away just by undergoing one of our sessions. So if you are stressed up by work, family, kids or just about anything, why not indulge yourself in one of our manicure or pedicure services and just for that hour or two, leave the cares of the world behind.
You will be surprised how much dirt, grime and germs get trapped in our nails each day from just the mere act of scratching ourselves or touching various surfaces and things. We therefore risk infections, if we go on to touch an open wound with our unclean nails. Hence personal hygiene reason alone is good enough to justify a manicure session.
The removal of dead skin speeds up the regeneration of new skin cells, which is necessary for healthy nail growth. It will also smoothen the skin around your hands and feet. More importantly, regular pedicure also prevents calluses from growing on your feet. Our feet supports our whole body and takes a lot of punishment on a day to day basis (e.g. when we stand, walk or run). It is important that we shower our feet regularly with some tender loving care.
Do set aside about 20-30 minutes for a classic manicure session and 30-45 minutes for a classic pedicure. So if you are doing both manicure and pedicure, budget to spend about 1-2 hours at our salon.
That's because it's dependent on your feet condition. If you have lots of calluses, it will take longer to remove them and so we have to charge a little more for the extra time taken.
